THE BIG DAY!

Well... if you cant guess from the title, I am being induced! So our little guy will make his entrance into the world tomorrow 8-26-08!
This is so surreal to even write, we really can't believe the day has finally come.

Went to a regular doctors appointment today and my blood pressure was back up, so the doctor decided to induce me. We are going in at 6 am in the morning - so keep us in your prayers!

Car Seats

We did it- the car seat bases are offically installed in the car and we are ready to have a little one to bring home in the car seat!!

The doctors appointment went well yesterday (except for the long wait- which was unusal). Blood pressure was borderline but still ok. He sounded great on the monitors and I am still having a few irregular contractions. We are down to like two more weeks of visits - we can't believe this part of the adventure is nearing a closing point.
Mike and I are so ready to see him face to face!

God is so wonderful to bless us with so MANY close friends and family members. We have recieved three showers for our little boy! These are all pictures from the family/ friends shower and our church shower given by Hayworth. The third shower was given to Jennifer from all her Labor and Delivery Room coworkers. Thanks for everything to help prepare for welcoming our son!

Cool Bday

Mike keeps counting down the hours I have to deliver today- he thinks that 08-08-08 would be a cool birthday. Our little guy would be a little early though. We had a small scare a couple of weeks ago on July23rd. I was suppose to go for a normal doctors visit and the office was closed because of the power being knocked out from a bad storm. I had a bad blood pressure headache and wanted to get checked out so went up to triage at the hospital ( on Labor and Delivery where I work) and I was also contracting. They got to be like 3-5 minutes apart so they decided to watch me overnight and give me two shots of steriods (in case he did come early - to help develop his lungs). Anyways everything worked out and he is still safe and sound inside.





Mike and my sisters decided to have a photo shot and cheer me up by keeping me laughing! It worked! Here is the evidence....

Hey everyone just thought I would create a page to show our journey as we start our little family (especially since I have an aunt,uncle,cousins and grandparents that are across the world at the moment).

This pregnancy has been a remarkable expeirence!

Just a few bumps in the road with blood pressure issues and working and then contractions a couple of weeks to early!

Went to the doctor today and he said I could just remain out of work and rest until our little guy decides to make his appearance. This is such a blessing so Mike and I can enjoy one another for a few more weeks as just the two of us. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers from everyone throughout our journey. We are truly blessed to have so many friends and family that shower us in love and prayers!
